The Hit and Run: Colman Blasts Hellmuth; Ultimate Poker Closes in Nevada

PTP Hit and Run1 Dan Colman has some harsh words for Phil Hellmuth. And Ultimate Poker is no more. It’s all in our daily wrap-up of the world of poker, the Hit and Run.

Colman on Hellmuth: Dan Colman+Phil Hellmuth = internet drama. High-roller master/douchebag Dan Colman posted on the 2+2 poker forums, saying that WSOP master/douchebag Hellmuth is “spineless” and a “cancer.” There are a lot of Hellmuth haters out there, but those claims seem a little out of bounds. And Colman only brought it up because Hellmuth shook his hand after Colman won the One Drop. We know the only answer for this: HU4rollzzzzzzz. Story here.

Ultimate closure: Ultimate Gaming, which opened the first regulated online gaming and poker site in the United States last year, is closing down. Just a few months after shutting down in New Jersey, Ultimate followed suit in Nevada. The site opened 19 months ago, but had struggled to attract players and create revenue. Details here, along with some interesting analysis and reactions.
