The new tournament schedule took effect on December 1st. PartyPoker NJ said that it used player input to make changes to the schedule, which now features more than $ 200,000 in guarantees every week.
Here are some of the highlights:
–The Daily $ 10,000 Guaranteed tournament now starts earlier every night — at 6 p.m.
–There are several new major tourneys, including the daily $ 1,000 Guaranteed Super Bounty ($ 2K on Sundays) and the $ 1,500 Sunday Slow Grind at noon with deep starting stacks and a slow blind structure.
–There are new payout schedules for all multitable tournaments. MTTs with buy-ins of $ 50 or more will pay fewer players with bigger prizes, while MTTs under $ 20 will pay more players than they did previously.
–The schedule was streamlined to increase player participation in the biggest tournaments. No MTTs are scheduled between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m.
The Sunday $ 50K remains unchanged, although PartyPoker NJ plays to increase the guarantee to $ 100,000 once a month. This month, that will happen on December 28th.
